General Manager: Finance (2 posts) Salary: R 1 042 500 – R 1 246 449 p.a. inclusive of benefits Location: Eastern Cape Regional Office – East London
Candidates should hold an undergraduate qualification (NQF level 7) as recognized by SAQA with Financial Accounting as a major subject coupled with 5 years experience at a senior managerial level in the various disciplines related to Financial Management; A post graduate qualification in Accounting and completed articles will be an added advantage; Extensive knowledge, experience, interpretation and application of accrual accounting and GRAP standards, SA-GAAP and IFRS; Knowledge of Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), Treasury Regulations on public entity’s and other relevant regulations; ERP knowledge on Oracle or SAP or AccPacc or accrual accounting compliant systems and a valid driver’s license are essential. The incumbent will lead and manage the Unit to ensure that the strategic plan, operational plan, budget and resources are optimally implemented and managed; Manage payment of all eligible suppliers, employees, collect revenue and recover amounts owed to the Region; Manage assets, inventory and demand and acquisition of the Region; Manage the planning and co-ordination of the development of the Regions budget; Advise on expenditure trends and coordinate explanation of expenditure variance and provide advice pertaining to financial planning and budgetary allocations as well as on the reporting of financial performance; Plan, manage and ensure the availability of funds; Prepare projections and forecast on budget allocations; Undertake reconciliation of assets accounts, inventory accounts, creditors accounts, clearing of suspense accounts, payroll, third party payments, tax accounts and debtor’s accounts; Implement finance value chain processes and audit trial leading to period closure reporting and prepare audit packs for internal and external audit purposes; Implement internal control measures and the effective management of Human Capital within the Region; Ensure compliance with Finance policies and practices within applicable GRAP standards, SA-GAAP and IFRS, PFMA, Treasury Regulations, Constitution and other various regulations; Respond on all Finance internal and external audit queries; Liaise with Head Office on all Finance activities; Prepare and submit monthly reports; Submit inputs for preparation of Annual Financial statements.

Senior Manager: ICT Salary: R 864 177 – R 1 017 972 p.a. inclusive of benefits Location: Eastern Cape Regional Office – East London (Ref No.: SAS 16/52) Candidates should hold an undergraduate qualification (NQF level 7) as recognized by SAQA in ICT coupled with 5 years middle/senior management level experience in the sphere of Information and Communication Technology or Information Security; Sound ITIL knowledge track record of leading change management initiatives, resource management skills and a valid driver’s license are essential. The incumbent will be responsible for the management of the Regional ICT Unit including Business Information and Knowledge Management, Business Applications and Infrastructure; Additional duties include the deployment and management of the network infrastructure(VOIP, VPN, LAN/WAN), user support, IT security, processes and procedures for network administration, network capacity planning and the management of SLA’s.

Chief Coordinator Salary: R612 822 – R 721 878 p.a. inclusive of benefits Location: Head Office – Pretoria (Ref No.: SAS 16/54) Candidates should hold a B degree or 3 year tertiary qualification in the relevant field coupled with 3-5 years’ experience in Secretarial/ Financial/ Human resource or relevant field; A sound understanding of government policy, legislative and financial processes Interaction at high level with Government department’s overseas institutions, etc. Computer literacy (Advanced Ms Excel) and a valid driver’s license are essential The incumbent will be responsible for the overall support of management of the Office of the CEO; Arrange meeting and workshops; Maintain the tracking of documentations; Manage the coordination arrangement pertaining to visitors;; Assist with S&T claims for the CEO and preparation of documents for CEO; Coordinate fast and efficient handling of all correspondence and meeting of deadlines for document; Attend meeting with CEO; Assist the CEO with compiling of presentation and coordinate reports between the CEO and Regions; Support internal management process, orderly and effectively planning procurement of consumables and other resources required; Manage Project; Arrange meeting for the CEO; Maintain the Office Budget and other registers; Oversee the implementation of the CEO’s document flow and filling systems; Monitor overall document flow and report to CEO; Manage oversight over electronic filing systems and filing of documents; Establish performance tracking systems and monitoring; Provide secretariat duties for ad-hoc CEO personal meeting (scheduling agenda, minutes and ensure execution of follow up meetings).
