REQUIREMENTS : A recognized Bachelor’s degree in Information Science (BIS)/Library Science (Bbil) or an equivalent qualification on NQF level 6. 1-3 years relevant post tertiary experience in a Library/Information & Knowledge Management Environment. Core Competencies: Financial management, Library/Knowledge management, Client orientated and customer focus, Problem solving analysis, Administrations skills, Computer skills, Interpersonal skills, Generic competencies: Business acumen, Planning, Communication, Execution, Research, Organising, Knowledge: Report writing, library asset management, 28 library systems management, cataloguing & classification of information material, information circulation, budget maintenance and monitoring.

DUTIES : Provide knowledge, information and library service, acquiring of information materials and tools. Processing of information material (cataloguing, classification and indexing); Conduct current awareness services; Coordinate inter-library loans processing; Assist in knowledge and library services; Coordinate information material collection development and maintenance; Liaison with various vendors for acquisitions purposes; Participate in information materials review and selection from various sources; Coordinate clients information need analysis; and Assist in any other relevant duties of the knowledge management and library services. Provide a comprehensive service in identifying relevant administrative systems and maintenance.
