ABOUT THE BURSARY PROGRAMME – FIELDS COVERED & COVERAGE VALUE

Hatch will be awarding bursaries within the following fields of study:

  • Chemical Engineering (BSc or BEng)
  • Civil Engineering (BSc or BEng)
  • Electrical Engineering (BSc or BEng)
  • Mechanical Engineering (BSc or BEng)

Bursaries will provide cover for the following expenses: tuition fees, textbooks allowance, computer allowance, accommodation or a travel allowance and a monthly allowance. Students will also be able to take part in vacation work.
 

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered):

  • South African citizen
  • Completed Matric or currently in Matric
  • Studying or intend on studying full time within one of the aforementioned Engineering fields of study
  • Studying or intend on studying recognised tertiary institution in South Africa
  • Current Matric students: must have achieved and maintained a minimum overall average of 90%
  • Current Tertiary students: must have achieved and maintained a minimum overall average of 65%
