Post:FOOD SERVICE WORKER

Salary:R 195 177 – R 229 914 per annum (Plus benefits)
Requirements:National Diploma/ Degree in Food Service Management or \food and Beverage Management.3-4 years’ experience in the Food Service Management, Hospital environment will be an advantageous. Must have computer literacy and specialised knowledge of food service protocols, procedures, Acts relevant to Human Nutrition. Knowledge of PFMA, SCM processes, policies and strategies applicable in the Department of Health. Sound knowledge of issues relating to food services delivery. Effective team working. Sound knowledge of issues relating to food services delivery. Effective team working, relationship and problem solving skills. Ability to work independently.
Duties:Monitor the implementation of policies and procedures relating to Facility Management and Logistics. To plan and cost menus for normal diets, do master order for both normal and therapy. To do orders for perishable and non-perishables and, control storage and issuing thereof. Monitor functioning and maintenance of equipment in the Human Nutrition. Do quality control checks e.g. be involved in meal surveys, plate waste study. Monitor daily statistics, ordering of meals and therapeutic diets to wards. Implement and monitor disciplinary guidelines. Identify needs for training in the Human Nutrition. Guide and monitor the evaluation appraisal processes (PMDS). Implementation of relevant guidelines, policies, acts and specifications. To attend to basic Human resource matters.
