C&A Friedlander Attorneys, formerly known as Friedlander & Du Toit, was founded in 1899 by Charles Friedlander and Andreas Francois du Toit. Today, with more than 100 years of practice and service, C&A Friedlander Attorneys has 4 branches across the Western Cape, including Cape Town CBD, Claremont, Noordhoek and Tygervalley

The firm provides legal services in a range of fields, including but not limited to Property Law, Construction Law, Labour & Employment Law, Renewable Energy Law, Insurance Law, Criminal Law and more.

ABOUT THE BURSARY PROGRAMME – FIELDS COVERED & COVERAGE VALUE

C&A Friedlander will be awarding bursaries to students pursuing their studies towards a Law degree.

The bursary will provide cover for tuition fees only, at an amount to be determined by EXCO.

MORE ABOUT THE BURSARY PROGRAMME – COVERAGE VALUE & SELECTION

Bursary recipients will be required to take part in the holiday work programme, and once they have graduated, they will be required to complete their articles with C&A Friedlander.

Shortlisted candidates will be contacted as soon as possible after the closing date – if you do not receive any feedback, please regard your application as unsuccessful.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered):

South African citizen
Completed Matric
Studying towards a Law degree qualification (undergraduate or postgraduate)
Studying full time at a recognised University in South Africa
Strong academic record
Proven financial need
*Preference will be given to students from previously disadvantaged backgrounds
